"Exterminating the exterminators"

Films: Bugged! (1997)

Alias: None

Type: Mutant

Location: Haunted house

Height/Weight: That of housecats.

Affiliation: Evil

Summary: When you call the exterminator, you're usually expecting your home to be more pest-free. But everyone makes mistakes. Just not monster bug-inducing ones.

History: The worst bunch of exterminators is here. They've recently been hired to help a woman get rid of all the cockroaches and crickets that invest her home. But those guys used the wrong chemical. Now, instead of dying, the bugs are growing, and multiplying! Soon, the house becomes a final resting place for any human, and few can stop the fanged bug menace.

Notable Kills: One bug manages to go outside and ambush a chipmunk.

Final Fate: The exterminators manage to kill a lot of the bugs, to the point where if any escaped, they wouldn't last long.

Powers/Abilities: These bugs are deceptively intelligent, as demonstrated by one smart enough to carry a firearm.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 2-A lot of these bugs, while definitely creepy in some ways, are hamstrung by bad special effects. And by effects, we mean that these are barely functional puppets going around with only the slightest of movements. Also, the fact that they roar like creatures ten times their size is just cheesy.

Trivia: -One of the hardest insects to cull for exterminators are ants due to their sheer numbers.

-Pesticides are actually quite dangerous, and have contributed to some serious environmental issues. This is mainly due to how the bugs may be poisoned, but so are the animals that eat them!

A new species is taking over from example!
Hate to see what that spray could do to sharks.
They're more vicious, but far more stupid to look at.
Stupid, except from certain angles, that is.
